Chamber Ambassador Program
The Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce is revamping their Chamber Ambassadors program and are looking for members or potential members who want to be a part of the community and the chamber. Long time ambassadors Katie Grimes, Clarance Hatfield, and Sherry Wagner will still be with the ambassador program, but the Chamber is looking to add and revive the program.
The Ambassadors Committee mission statement is “To promote general membership services and enhance goodwill for the Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce, assist in the recruitment of new members through personal contacts, membership involvement, and to encourage involvement, awareness, and maximum retention.”
The qualities we look for in an ambassador are individuals who believe in and support the efforts of the Chamber. They are able to balance necessary time commitment of the committee with the demands of their jobs. They are outgoing and enjoy meeting new people and providing positive support and encouragement to colleagues. They are sociable, strong contributors to any group and enjoy spending time with other professionals. The goal is to represent a wide variety of industries and businesses. Familiar faces along with new faces.
Chamber ambassadors must be a member of the Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce or be a part of an organization or business that is a member of the Chamber.
The Ambassadors meet on the last Wednesday of every month in the Big Spring Area of Chamber of Commerce board room.
If you are interested in being an ambassador please contact the Ambassador Coordinator, Tana Bradley, at 318-816-2983, or email tanabradley@bulldogsteelcomponents.com, or come to our next meeting on March 28th at 12:00 PM. If you are interested and want more information about becoming a member of the Chamber of Commerce, please contact Executive Director Debbye ValVerde at 432-263-7641.
