PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE CITY OF BIG SPRING
For Immediate Release

The Colorado River Municipal Water District (CRMWD) has notified the City of Big Spring that they will be doing maintenance on District water lines.  As a result, the City’s main supply of water will be shut down beginning at 10:00 PM on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, and will remain shut down until CRMWD restores water.  During the CRMWD maintenance, the City will be under Stage III of the City of Big Spring “Drought Contingency Plan,” until CRMWD has completed the maintenance.  This plan is in the City of Big Spring Code of Ordinances Section 16B.   

During this time, citizens are asked to please conserve water and discontinue the use of irrigation systems and other unnecessary uses.  The City of Big Spring will notify citizens as soon as drought contingency measures can be rescinded.  If you have any questions please feel free to call the City of Big Spring Public Works Office at 432-264-2501.
