Texas & Big Spring is in the worst drought in half a century , but we can still fill our neww pool with millions of gallions of water ! what worst is that our city council knew we were in a drought and still voted for this monster. what are they going to do when we run out of water ? Let the people of Big Spring go and dip a Gal. out of it to wash in !!

I was just wondering why we do not have a plastic bottle recycling drop-off. As a citizen here in Big Spring,I myself drink both bottled water and the filtered water from our various suppliers. Today I threw away 3 months of bottles; I kept them to show my children how much we could recycle. I really do not think it is reasonable to drive to Midland / Odessa to recycle.3 months of bottles fill 6 13 gallon trash bags for a family of four. multiply that by all the families here in town .

I would like to increase security in Big Spring schools. They are becoming increasingly violent, and I am extremely concerned for the safety of our children. How do I draft a petition for the installation of metal detectors, cameras, and officers in all schools? What is the process for funding and incorporating these ideas if my petition is approved?

Ok. I just learned that Texas doesnt have initiative or referendum...What do I do? How to I go about initiating this process? Do I start at a board meeting? I am young and not sure how to become involved in our community
