What We Do

We collaborate with citizens, neighborhood and business groups, designers and engineers, as well as other City departments, City Council and its commissions to assess every aspect involved in a planning project, land use or development proposal. We also ensure that the Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Ordinance, Comprehensive Plan and associated maps are updated as mandated by State and local laws and that they are followed, accordingly.

Applications

Applications must be completed in their entirety, signed, and dated before being processed. To discuss an application, please visit the Planning Department in the City Hall Annex, at 305 Johnson St., adjacent to City Hall.

These handouts provide a summary of allowed uses in each zoning district and are only meant to be used as a guide. Definitive information should be obtained from the complete Zoning Ordinance.
